As a private citizen, this mad man went around all 36 states during the campaign period in a rented private jet achored by @balamiisaac , he even chartered a helicopter just to visit Baba Adeboye from Lagos to the RCCG camp, his vice-presidential running mate, Datti Baba Ahmed owns a private jet as an ordinary citizen, Yet this man from his rants is telling us that private jet aren't Important even as President. If jets truly aren’t important, As a private citizen, why did he go to such lengths to rent one across all states he went for campaign in 2022/2023?

In Arsenal’s current tactical iteration, Shadow striker behind Gyokeres is Havertz’s best role. It’s not a coincidence that 5 of his 7 goal contributions this season have come when he plays alongside Gyokeres. A last line, focal point CF who pins CBs and a SS who ghost into vacated spaces from deep has a natural chemistry, it’s not rocket science.

I really thought that by now, those who dissent from Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his policy direction would be presenting Nigerians with clear plans on how they intend to restore subsidies, peg the currency, and so on. But I can't see that anywhere.

When Mikel Arteta brought on Kai Havertz for Martin Odegaard in the 70th minute and replaced Leandro Trossard with Gabriel Martinelli only six minutes later, he did so hoping the pair would inject some attacking quality into a match that was severely lacking in it. Martinelli’s assist for Havertz’s goal has turned a rather mundane team performance into a superb win for Arsenal. It was a superb pass and a lovely finish to ensure Arsenal head into the second leg with the advantage. 🔗 nyti.ms/4tAcgbH

Most people do not know how politically dangerous those who took over ADC are. But Leke Abejide knows them and he will never wish them well. This is why. In 2023 general elections, Leke Abejide is the only candidate that won a seat on that platform. He was the face of ADC and he was doing well.until Melaye and co came around July last year and hijacked the structure. The first thing they did was to suspend him for an offense that was not clearly stated. They later expelled from that party. People like us sometimes laugh when people defend evil people. There is no character in that factional ADC that has integrity or principle. They are birds that would fly once they hear any sound that suggest the tree they perch on would fall . The proper person's to raise an opposition are the youths and not the spent politicians. I have no pity for them on this travail. They too are draconian. Aworere Babatunde Awoyemi

Serah, you are a dull girl. 1. 3.3t was a legacy debt owed to Genco/Discos. 2. 4t bond is money to raise from investors including any willing ordinary Nigerian to clear the 3.3tn. The bonds are for a period of time with interest to investors. This is what happens when you purchase an MBA from a distant learning school. Olodo Rabata. Like Serah like Obi.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Let us reflect, sincerely and without sentiment. In the past few days, the President has reportedly approved ₦3.3 trillion as a “full and final” payment for debts in the power sector. Yet, this is not the first time such approvals have been made. On May 17, 2024, ₦3.3 trillion was approved for the same purpose. On July 25, 2024, another ₦4 trillion bond was approved to settle similar debts. There have also been other approvals in between, all targeted at addressing the same power sector liabilities. This raises a fundamental question: were the previous approvals mere announcements without execution? ₦3.3 Trillion Again? Nigeria’s Power Crisis Without End During the 2023 campaign, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made a clear promise: that if he failed to deliver stable electricity, Nigerians should not re-elect him. Today, the reality is that power supply has worsened, to the extent that there are even discussions about disconnecting the Presidential Villa from the national grid. Each time legitimate concerns are raised, what we see appears more like policy pronouncements than measurable progress. Now, again, we are confronted with another ₦3.3 trillion approval to settle power sector debts. These debts were largely accumulated under successive administrations of the All Progressives Congress between 2015 and 2025. This raises serious concerns about accountability, transparency, and effectiveness in public financial management. It is important to note that government institutions and agencies, including the Presidential Villa owe a significant portion of these debts. Year after year, budgets were made and funds appropriated. Why then were these obligations not settled when due? And from what source will this new payment be made? Are we resorting once more to borrowing to service inefficiencies? Key questions remain unanswered: How did the debt accrue? What is the actual total debt in the power sector? Which components of the debts are due to operators’ inefficiency and should be borne by them? Why have previous approvals not translated into tangible improvements? Who are the real beneficiaries of these repeated payments? Is the ₦3.3 trillion approved on April 6, 2026, the same as the ₦3.3 trillion approved in May 2024, and how does it relate to the ₦4 trillion bond approved in July 2024? Nigeria must move beyond recycled announcements and confront the power sector crisis with sincerity, transparency, and decisive reforms. Until we do so, we will remain trapped in a cycle of debt and darkness. But with discipline, accountability, and the right leadership, a new Nigeria is still possible. -PO

Nigeria has produced world-class developers despite having: No reliable electricity. No affordable broadband. A currency that lost 70% of its value. Local companies that underpay deliberately. A government that signs Startup Acts and implements nothing. Imagine what Nigerian developers could build with half the advantages developers elsewhere take for granted. The talent isn't the problem. Never was.

Do not underestimate the scale of winning this first leg 1-0. Sporting were unbeaten at home in 17, they set up to stop us playing and showed phenomenal structural discipline, but patience won #Arsenal the tie. After back to back defeats, you could not ask for a more perfect win.

Rufai, we are genuinely, deeply sorry that your evil wishes could not find full expression. We have a government that does not wait for the wound to fester before reaching for the cure. It is, alas, most unfortunate that we shall not be gifting you the spectacle you so clearly craved - the chaos of a 13-month doctors' strike in Anambra, that beloved signature of your preferred candidate, Abacha's stooge and spokesperson, Peter. Accept our condolences brother.
