It’s quite literally been years bc there’s battery acid in the dating pool

I haven't had a serious love interest in so long

@naughtyynyymph @fansly oh yikes! i must’ve joined just after that happened. i definitely understand why that would still leave a bad taste in people’s mouths. creators are the ones most impacted when platforms make sudden changes, i’m glad people spoke up and pushed back.
English

I think they went back on that one because of backlash, but when they initially had started changing content guidelines because of visa and Mastercard I do remember they initially said no to any of it, but I think they made a huge fuss online about it to get the card companies off their back

i really wish more sex workers would give @Fansly a serious chance. so many of the features creators have spent years asking OnlyFans for are already built in: better subscription options, stronger discoverability, smarter posting tools, and systems that actually benefit the people using them.
i’ve seen creators spend hundreds on third-party tools like Supercreator (myself included) just to get features already native on Fansly.
and sure, there’s a small adjustment period at first, but mostly because it’s different. not because it’s difficult. once you learn the layout, it’s straightforward.
it also matters that it feels like a platform that wants sex workers there, rather than one that profits from us while treating us as disposable.
as of right now, i’m not making what i was before because i’m still rebuilding on a newer platform, but i would still choose this route again without hesitation.
fans follow creators. if more of us moved, they would too.

@naughtyynyymph @fansly i also just checked, and their policies around pee content don’t appear to have changed

some of these concerns are fair, but i feel a few points need more nuance.
yes, platforms with rankings and internal discovery often reward creators who already have momentum. bigger accounts post more, convert better, and bring outside traffic, so they stay visible. that’s frustrating, but it’s common across platforms, not unique to Fansly.
the shift toward video heavy discovery is also a valid criticism, especially for creators who rely on photo sets or have limited time, energy, or accessibility needs.
where this loses me is acting like Fansly is uniquely restrictive. they have become more selective around furry content, but still allow some furry/anthro content rather than banning it outright. its more moderation line-drawing than a blanket ban.
meanwhile, OF has benefited most from name recognition while offering weak discovery, fewer creator tools, and slow innovation. Fansly at least built tiers, internal discovery, better post controls, and more monetization options.
and as you’ve said, Fansly isn’t the only alternative. LoyalFans, MintStars, and DarkFans all seem like solid options too. im just so mf tired of OF being treated as the gold standard when it’s arguably done the least for the industry while benefiting the most from it.

one of the worst things these agencies normalized is treating constant availability as the baseline. it’s disheartening to lose someone highly invested simply because i’m not accessible every moment of the day. expecting nonstop instant access to a creator isn’t realistic, it reduces a person to a service. some of us are actual humans with lives, not teams running shifts behind a screen.
Aria Faye@Ariafayeee
Agencies that reply to men 24/7 on OF have done irreparable damage to women that don’t use them because men are so conditioned to getting a reply within seconds or minutes at any given time that they expected it now, and that’s just simply not possible for real creators.
