A Restore Britain Government will allow pub landlords and other venue owners to install a smoking room. If adults want to smoke inside a contained room, and the landlord is happy to provide that, then it's none of our business. Crack on.

@davits_ney Invaded all those countries and gave them all back, except the Falklands. Ask why. Because they're not yours.

A British guy complaining about Argentina's 'roughness' and the Malvinas banner? Do you realize the irony? Your country has invaded 171 out of 193 countries and today you're still clinging to our land. So take your moral high ground and shove it up your colonialist arse

"I doubt this FIFA will impose any severe sanctions on Argentina," Latin America expert @michaelreid52 tells #EuropeToday. He also says there has been "almost no self-criticism" among Argentina's players over their World Cup behaviour, which has drawn widespread condemnation.

@worldrealist1 @_PrezDez_ @GlobalFC5 You can get a yellow for a cumulative offences, so yeah, he can get away with other things, then get a yellow for finally stepping over the line for something deemed a non-bookable offence.

@agarciapym @GlobalFC5 The point I was making it that it wasn’t a red card which people were complaining about, it was a yellow which was correct

@clintmarcel @GlobalFC5 Neither this or the original yellow were warranted. It was a 5050 ball and he went in with two feet together, didn’t leave his line and went directly at the ball. This was more on Spain player who caused the collision.

You're misreading it. Recognising Argentina as a country does not mean recognising every territory that country "says belongs to it". We recognised Argentina while also regarding the Falklands as British. Plus "many historians hold" what? who? Plus for 50 years, after the 1850 treaty, your country didn't mention them. It's only when things go bad, politicians seem to bring them up as a diversion tactic or something to stir more hatred. I personally have nothing against Argentina (other than the hand of God lol) but from afar, we live in a country that seemingly enjoys a good life whilst your government leaves many in poverty and uses the Falklands every 4 years to temporarily make us look like the bad people when it was your military that invaded "British people" going about their daily business. Plus, with our respective economies, do you think the people of the Falklands would rather be attached to a rich nation that supports them or one that would just consider them a piece of land to which they believe they're entitled? It's not about being Argentinian or British, it's about having a home and an identity and someone taking that from you. Perhaps the British should sue Norway as they stole all our stuff a thousand years ago....we don't...because they're nice and we've all moved on.

I've had to translate that, but it's all evidence of Spanish ownership, not Argentinian. Here's something in return (although can be argued too, like your flimsy pieces). Your Government signed this. Tell me where the Falklands were mentioned? Settling all differences.

Actually, it is verifiable (actual evidence), but I suspect your government makes out it doesn't. It's forever trying to use them as a political football, a distraction if you like. Spain may have spotted it earlier, didn't land though. Whilst discovery (which we did do first) doesn't mean we have a firm ownership, France have the first claim, a year before us, just a slightly different area, Spain then grabbed it from France. Britain did remove the Argentinian military, but DID NOT remove the civilian Spanish/Argentinian people. You claim you inherited it, but there's nothing to suggest Spain actually ceded it along with the rest.

@JohnWight1 Plenty of people rocked up in North American up and stuck sticks in the ground to claim that. What do you realistically suggest happens here? We hand over the Islands to Argentina...what happens to the people who legitimately live there?

The Falkland Islanders constitute an artificially imposed population. You can't place a cactus in the North Pole then make the argument that it belongs there. It doesn't make any sense.
Pseudonym@PhilRob97633615

@JohnWight1 Colonialism is the subjugation of a native population by a foreign power. If the native population of the Falkland Islands wish to remain British, then the colonial act would be Argentina taking control of the islands, particularly so if they took them by force.

The fact of the matter is that England did not lose because Argentina were better, or because of Tuchel's tactical decisions. They lost because their fans and, to a larger degree, the English public, are not deserving of a world cup final : this is the hard, cold truth. Sorry.
