To anyone struggling with their trading right now… Every trader you look up to has been exactly where you are. Blown accounts, red months, the doubt that creeps in at 2am. None of them skipped that part. They just didn’t let it be the ending. Drawdowns don’t mean you’re not cut out for this. They mean you’re paying tuition. The question is whether you’re actually learning from it… journaling the losses, cutting the size, fixing the leaks… or just repeating them. You don’t need to make it all back this week. You need to survive long enough to get good. Slow down. Protect the capital. The skills compound quietly. The traders who make it aren’t the ones who never struggled. They’re the ones who struggled and stayed disciplined anyway.

Choppy days like today aren’t for making money…they’re for keeping it. Ever notice your worst losses don’t come from bad trades? They come from forcing trades on days that gave you nothing to work with. No trend, no follow-through, just chop chewing up both sides. Discipline isn’t grinding through it. Discipline is recognizing the tape isn’t paying and sizing down or sitting out. Flat is a position. The market will be open tomorrow. Your capital needs to be too.

$IREN down ~40% in a month…so what actually happened? It wasn’t one thing. Bitcoin broke $60k. The board handed the co-founders a $788M stock package. JPMorgan slapped it on their top shorts list. Then Meta hinted at selling excess cloud capacity…a potential customer turning competitor. Stack that on a revenue miss and $2B in new converts and you get a market that stopped paying for the AI story and started demanding execution. The pivot thesis isn’t dead. But announcements don’t pay the bills anymore.
