I question how real free will is, especially when you consider how we’re all sort of products of a set of circumstances that we had no control over. You’re more compassionate toward people that have done things that aren’t the right thing to do. That’s the brilliance of George Lucas in the prequels - he humanized the character of Darth Vader and hopefully made his fall to the dark side something that we can understand and relate to. But generally, compassion toward people who you are not necessarily siding with is a very cool thing.”
