@coffeequasart Honestly the best aspect of Pokémon had always been the designs. The gameplay is basically a rip from SMT with the element advantage / disadvantage etc. I would say if you want an ultimate Pokémon experience just play Atlus games where they have evolved the combat formula greatly

Honestly, I haven’t played all that many P0kém0n games. I’ve mostly stuck to the 3D ones, and even then, I’ve only played a handful. But I have a lot of fun drawing them as fat anthros, especially the less popular ones. I really enjoy translating their designs to fit my style :3

Pokemon copied their entire battle system from Shin Megamei that came out 3 years prior. The reason it survived are the sick add designs. Only difference is that Atlus and other jrpgs evolved their work. Pokemon never did.
