The species I most wanted to see on my visit to Alaska was Spectacled Eider. I had to make the long visit up to Barrow to see this beautiful species. I was not disappointed! @USFWS @USFWSRefuges #Wildfowl #Alaska

@SmalePerry @jonnycaribouthe Think it will be at Knepp (per BirdGuides) article. So your entrance fee will also include White Storks! Cannot really see the point. Sure beautiful butterflies but I generally am not that keen. I am more in favour of habitat creation and do love Knepp rewilding.

I've been blocked by @jonnycaribouthe just for disagreement over the stork releases. Yet another snowflake, stork-hugging wa*^&r. So if anyone else supports the stork project, they may as well block me now...well, go on!!🤬🤬

#TuesdayMuseday Time to give back to the body that has carried me 90 years & prepare for my upcoming tour. The Road Warrior in me is getting restless. I thrive on the road, the hustle and bustle and of course "I’ve Got You" the fans who've been there along the 60 years of travel.

@Wildwood_photos They are lovely birds and regular garden visitors. I have stopped feeding the birds now as instructed but they are still around singing and calling. Although we get them on our patio they are incredibly wary and will rapidly fly off if they notice any fast movement.

An unusual sight on getting home this afternoon were these two Stock doves (juveniles I think) on the rooftop. I usually have to walk a mile to see them in the woodland in Conham park. Nice to see them here. They flew off towards the park.

@FootballLeagueW Absolutely not. The team have worked really hard to get to Wembley and the loyal supporters deserve to see their team do well.

@BC_Norfolk @akcozm Blues are having a good season down south. Holly Blues everywhere, Adonis Blues emerging, Common Blues well out and Small Blues doing well in Wiltshire. Also Brown Argus is appearing in good number. Will be interesting to know if Norfolk does see any Small Blues.

The inconspicuous Small Blue is on the wing in the south of the country. It could be the next species to make an appearance in Norfolk. Let us know if you see one, or maybe you already have? #savebutterflies 📷️ Iain Leach BC

@mattletiss7 @SouthamptonFC This was a fantastic match and advert for the EFL. I wonder how many watched it overall regardless of alliance. I was there and what great support. When you think of all the poor results we have had and loyally followed the team, these nights make it worthwhile. Proud of Saints.

@LingwoodMurray I am waiting to hear the full story so can fully understand why no comments can be made. We wait and see.

@cloudedyellows Let's just hope we get no Draconian penalties for the spying scandal. Really can't see that they would ever have gained much from it. Crass stupidity in my book, assuming the accusations are true (no outright denial from Saints suggests something went on)

@LingwoodMurray He was hacked a fair bit last night but we are at last moving forward and not just side to side. Know what you mean about some free kick situations though. Pleasure to watch him on the ball.

@cloudedyellows Personally think he's been a bit low on end product recently. Aimless runs infield and goes down far too easily, making it more difficult to get free kicks as refs get wise to it. That said I'd still rather have him in the team than not!

The stunning Adonis Blue is starting to emerge in Wiltshire. I saw 2 males which opened their wings as the sun came out after the cloud had moved over. This male was very cooperative. Also saw Common and Small Blues. @savebutterflies

I really love the Marsh Fritillary, so much variety in their markings. My trip to Wiltshire started in cool cloud but when the sun eventually came out numbers soared and most were very fresh and it is very early in their flight season. I saw at least 20. @savebutterflies

@WriterHannahBT Funny that, I was just relaxing in the bath and looking out the window when my first 2 Swifts of 2026 drifted past. I have a strong suspicion these are local breeders and not passing through which is great news.

WOOHOOOO!!!!! One of the best days of the year is upon us. The 8th May is very special every year for it is the average return date for swifts ! Also, 100 years ago today, as the swifts returned, Sir David #Attenborough was born. What a day!!! Have you seen any swifts yet?
