The King & Judge Brosephos ☦🇻🇦
Check out my latest article on ye olde SubStack on prayer and mediation in 1 Timothy 2. Excerpt -- 1 Timothy 2 in no way denounces prayers for the dead or requesting the Saints in heaven to pray on our behalf. Rather, as the Church developed her thought on the Communion of the Saints, it is completely complementary to pray for and request prayers from those who have fallen asleep. All are united in Christ by his death, so one must twist Paul’s meaning of intercession and mediation in 1 Timothy 2 to denounce prayer for/to the dead. We see the importance of this practice as we explored in the literary history of Judaism and Early Christianity.
The King & Judge Brosephos ☦🇻🇦@Brosephos

My latest article on 1 Tim 2:1–7 to counteract the nonsense that this passage denounces prayers to or for the dead. We are all called to intercede for one another; this does not infringe on Christ's role as mediator. open.substack.com/pub/kuriosabou…

That's an oversimplification. A 66-book Protestant canon did not suddenly appear in the 1640s. Protestant reformers in the 1500s accepted the 39-book Hebrew Old Testament plus the 27-book New Testament (66 books total), although many early Protestant Bibles still printed the Apocrypha in a separate section.

@UcheMaryOkoli Luther removed nothing from the Bible. This was debunked long ago. The Apocrypha was never Hebrew Canon. Your church dogmatically and universally defined them as canon at the Council of Trent in 1546.

I've become aware of several false accusations being spread about me and this ministry. This is nothing new and unfortunately something that has become all too common among many Catholics online who cannot defend their beliefs. I’ve been falsely called a Jew. I have been accused of never being Catholic in attempt to discredit my testimony. I am accused of not being a Bible scholar in an attempt to discredit my teaching credentials. However the fact is that these hate filled Catholics wouldn’t accept any level of academic credentials, if the individual is not a Catholic. Rather than engaging with the biblical, historical, and theological arguments presented, certain critics have resorted to to attacking my character, questioning my motives, and attempting to discredit me through insinuation, speculation, and guilt-by-association arguments that prove nothing. It is easier to smear a messenger than to answer his message. It is easier to create suspicion than to refute facts. What’s even more revealing is the number of larger Catholic influencers who will do zero research into the claims before presenting them as facts in an attempt to damage a persons credibility. I do hope that these same Catholic influencers do a better job when it comes to researching their church’s history and teachings. It seems that these Catholics have not read in their Catechism paragraphs 2464, 2475-2477 where it states: CCC 2464: The eighth commandment forbids misrepresenting the truth in our relations with others. This moral prescription flows from the vocation of the holy people to bear witness to their God who is the truth and wills the truth. Offenses against the truth express by word or deed a refusal to commit oneself to moral uprightness: they are fundamental infidelities to God and, in this sense, they undermine the foundations of the covenant. CCC 2475: Christ's disciples have "put on the new man, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” By "putting away falsehood," they are to "put away all malice and all guile and insincerity and envy and all slander.” CCC 2476: False witness and perjury. When it is made publicly, a statement contrary to the truth takes on a particular gravity. In court it becomes false witness. When it is under oath, it is perjury. Acts such as these contribute to condemnation of the innocent, exoneration of the guilty, or the increased punishment of the accused. They gravely compromise the exercise of justice and the fairness of judicial decisions. CCC 2477: Respect for the reputation of persons forbids every attitude and word likely to cause them unjust injury. He becomes guilty: of rash judgment who, even tacitly, assumes as true, without sufficient foundation, the moral fault of a neighbor; of detraction who, without objectively valid reason, discloses another's faults and failings to persons who did not know them; of calumny who, by remarks contrary to the truth, harms the reputation of others and gives occasion for false judgments concerning them. Also canon 1390 #2 & 3 of the Catholic Code of Canon law: Can. 1390—§ 2. A person who calumniously denounces some other offence to an ecclesiastical Superior, or otherwise unlawfully injures the good name of another, is to be punished according to the provision of can. 1336 §§ 2-4, to which moreover a censure may be added. §3. The calumniator must also be compelled to make appropriate amends. For those who don’t know; Calumniously is an adverb meaning to act, speak, or write in a way that is false, slanderous, and intended to damage someone's reputation (See Part 2 continued👇🏼)

There are Protestants who are not Catholic because of conviction; they are easy to spot because they are fellow laborers in the field. There are some who may or may not have an actual conviction, but they certainly have a childish rebellion that is cloaked in a veneer of love for Gods Word. They are easy to pick out because they’re oddly obsessed with Catholics. Sometimes, it’s pure grift, like this guy who monetizes people’s ignorance by copying other people‘s work and then using it for cash. I like praying and chatting with the first group. The other two I try desperately hard to ignore.

Patrick claims his identity as a Bible Scholar who runs a ministry that markets paid Bible courses, study materials, and apologetics content as its own teaching ecosystem. But when you compare the pages side-by-side with older sources, the same wording, structure, order, typos, course descriptions, and reading plans start showing up. This is a long 🧵with plenty of receipts below. But I encourage we all follow his advice this time and research it for ourselves. You can decide for yourself. 🧵

As many of you know, I regularly cite and reference sources, historians, scholars, church fathers, and theological works in my research and explanations. The fact that someone references, quotes, studies, or agrees with another source does not constitute plagiarism. Catholic haters have presented a false narrative that I sell a “course” at the end of all my videos and that I sell a reading plan matching the Blue Letter Bible’s chronological study plan. This of course only proves they have zero understanding of what my ministry offers and what it actually sells. These individuals don’t care to find truth, they want information that can be spun to look nefarious. It would also appear that Catholics are shocked when they discover some Christian ministries have unity in their statements of faith, mission statements and teachings. Some Catholics are recklessly determined to attack any and everyone who dears challenge their religious world view and beliefs. I make it a deliberate point to deal mostly with the content of their doctrines while they choose to attack me personally and many hundreds of others like myself. I have no ill will towards Catholics, even the ones who seek to destroy me, I love Catholics and have many family members who are Catholic. However the most unloving thing for me to do would be to comfort them in what I believe to be a deception and counterfeit christianity. The very fact that I am willing to go into the lion’s den to share the Gospel with them proves to those who are in Christ that my motive is pure and one of genuine love. In the coming days, I will be responding to these false allegations more directly, presenting the facts, and documentation necessary showing you why these Catholics have zero idea what they are talking about. For now I have family obligations to attend to which is my priority. I suspect most Catholics won’t accept anything I say or any evidence that contradicts their hate filled agenda. They have demonized me and slandered me as “anti-Catholic” to keep others from considering my words. They have presented this narrative that I am some lone ranger unaffiliated with anyone. This is false. Many of their leading apologists and priests have declined to have any sort of discussion with me, which I believe is their attempt to silence me. Soon they and you will see what I have been working to create for the last six months. I am not yet at liberty to give all the details yet but will be going public with it this summer! I suspect it will bless many who have a desire to share the gospel with Catholics and keep their loved ones from joining Catholicism. I have many ministries and people of God working to bring this vision to fruition and the enemy knows exactly what it is, so we are not surprised he would inspire Catholics to launch character assassinations against me and others with me. I have been in ministry for a number of years and have had haters from day 1. It is a part of what comes with apologetics and with sharing the Gospel. Do not be surprised, brethren, if the world hates you. (1 John 3:13)  “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.  If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. (John 15:18-19)
