@DexMawa Only csk is actual valuation because it's sold to the public. Outright purchase can be higher. Rr and rcb are accurate numbers because they got sold. Rest of it are just quoted numbers not necessarily accurate and can higher or even lesser.

@Fancricket12 Where did anyone say anything about having to click 140+ to succeed? Random agenda. Stop assuming that people don't watch test cricket you're not the only one who does that. Selectors must've been stupid to ask Bhuvi to improve bowling speed a decade ago. Should've consulted YOU.

In T20 cricket, 140 kph plus extra bounce - more important. In Test cricket, you don't need to bowl at such speeds. If anything, after Henry reduced his pace, it worked better for him in Test cricket. As he improved his control. And someone in reply section is bashing me over that lol. Guys, watch some Test cricket and then comment.
Bharath Ramaraj@Fancricket12

Henry hasn't bowled a single ball - over at least his first 8 wickets - over 135 kph. For anyone who thinks only*** pace is important in Test cricket. In modern-day Test cricket, wobble seam and control will get wickets. youtu.be/dLzO9h8DWqE?si…

@Fancricket12 Also the examples you're trying to push are conditional. I'm sure you know that too. There's no argument of having decent pace as the common denominator to work at international level. That is literally the same reason why nkr increased his pace now and Bhuvi did it a decade ago

@clrtlaltron Does he do black magic?? Not a single ball over 136 kph here, at least over his first 8 wickets.

Then how does Matt Henry or Boland take wickets? I have seen them take wickets at low 80s in Test cricket. In SENA, wobble** seam** and good control work. 60 years ago or now, bounce will always*** score over just pace. It gives a buffer. McGrath or even Ambrose (only occasionally he did) didn't bowl 90mph. Extra bounce from a slightly fuller length more of a threat than say skiddy pace.
Ronsense.@clrtlaltron

@Fancricket12 Kind of disagree. I don't think you can thrive with nabi or bhuvis pace as the strike bowler in test cricket today irrespective of their arsenal. Need slightly more. Pace isn't the only thing but bowling 135+ at will for long spells should be the bare minimum imo.

@Fancricket12 Literally the first bowl he bowled in the video was 135k 5 less than white ball speed works.decent pace and that's good in red ball. Read my comment properly instead of moving goalposts. Consistently to be able to bowl 135 and above at will is good. Nabi speed isn't good enough

Pace isn't everything in Test cricket. For starters, bounce is the king of pace bowling. Secondly, in Test cricket, you can succeed with a good wobble seam too, especially considering the conditions in SAN. Ideally, a conventional swing bowler needs to add a wobble to his armour.
Ronsense.@clrtlaltron

@ImSantoshKan @Fancricket12 Today's game is evolved you need elite pace to make it work. Siraj is a much better red ball bowler who can also move the ball and bumrah also uses the new ball well. Bhuvi doesn't have the pace didn't have it to do well even back in the day was hot and cold. He's a T20 🐐.

@Fancricket12 Sir we do need variety in the pace bowling attack. Can you name a bowler in the current squad who can swing like Bhuvi in England conditions? Not everyone needs to be bowling with pace and HTD bowler.

On some absolute flat decks v AUS A, where 400 and 500 were easily scored, Brar bowled with a lot of heart. On those dead tracks, he took 5-6 wickets. They give more prominence to India A performances. Secondly raw attributes. Agarkar himself mentions, "With Gurnoor, we have seen a lot of promise over the last season-and-a-half. He is a tall guy with a bit of pace." The operative word - tall guy. I wouldn't want to use the short form for this kind of bowling as people unnecessarily take it the wrong way. He is a very decent prospect.
iThunder@HiPrsm

Gurnoor Brar in both the ODI & Test team, but how? I don't remember any notable performance in domestic? Or am I missing something?

@Ritz1975 @chand2579 Assuming pace not good enough for a frontline pacer and currently we don't need a 3rd pacer. Nkr will probably do that job and nabi mostly did well on green tops which won't be the case. They are picking on raw attributes that'll get importance at the international level.

Gurnoor Brar has not played a single game in the IPL this season, so his selection has come as a surprise to many. But if you have followed his short career, you can tell that the selectors have been grooming him by picking him for A games against South Africa A and Australia A

Losses like the one today for CSK is what hurts fans the most. You have an important player completely stinking up with the bat, and then the captain taking some weird calls with the ball, and top it, even luck evades you. Genuinely thought that CSK bowled well, and Kishan had a pretty scratchy and lucky inns today. And while Kishan might be given the MoM, I felt Klassen played the better inns.
