This is really cool! My student Sofie Studholme has figured out how to use our percolating networks of nanoparticles to solve optimisation problems, and in particular to factorise integers! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Pretty amazing that networks of nanoparticles can be trained so that an agent can follow another, or so that several agents can autonomously generate swarming behaviour. doi.org/10.1088/2634-4… Courtesy of a lot of work from my student Zac Heywood.

Excited to share our latest work, just out in Advanced Materials. Experimental demonstration of reservoir computing with self-assembled percolating networks of nanoparticles. Includes spoken digit recognition. doi.org/10.1002/adma.2…

Excited to see this in print today. Boolean logic and pattern classification using our neuron-like spikes. My student Sofie did a stunning job on this. Computation via Neuron-like Spiking in Percolating Networks of Nanoparticles | Nano Letters pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Type 'leave twitter' into twitter's search box - and get a deluge of results encouraging you not to. I think that has probably settled the question for me.

This is a really remarkable place, just outside Marsala. A definite highlight of my trip to Sicily. Fascinating to see the quarry itself but also the plants, and to hear the history from the delightful guides. …ve-la-citta-scavata-dai.business.site
