@henryolsenEPPC I suspect the homeowners in question will happily take that doubled home value at the expense of a comparatively smaller new tax increase

I think it’s in the best interest of both teams for this game to get mercied after the 5th inning ends (15 run difference needed). Save your pitchers and get ready for the next.

$ADBE being green could be an indication that it has run out of sellers. IF that's the case, could explode higher.

@RuxandraTeslo Not even remotely the same thing. MAID Is getting exactly what you paid for. Experimental treatments is hoping for a certain outcome while taking on a risk that the outcome may be worse than if you had done nothing at all. Regulation is normal in that circumstance.

I have a curiosity: why is it the case that it is easier to get MAID in Canada than it is to access experimental treatments which carry a higher risk? In the past, I used to think ppl do not like "deaths caused by the medical system", but for MAID the prob of death is 100%...

$HPQ (we're long) just guided to the lower end of 2026 earnings guidance, which is $2.90/share non-GAAP, which at its current after-hours price of $17.25 = a PE of <6 with a near-7% dividend yield. I just bought more here.

Why are software stocks going crazy? "AI disruption" - yes, but I also think the seat-based SaaS model is starting to crack because of that disruption. Seat pricing assumes a named human paying every month. But agents don’t look like that. They spin up in parallel, do the work, and disappear. Dozens or hundreds at a time. On recent earnings calls, you can hear the tension. Workday’s President of Product and Technology Gerrit Kazmaier said it plainly: the "Seat-based model definitely is going to change in certain domains." If AI agents are doing the work, the real question isn’t who has the best model. It's who captures the economics. @r8limit @dampedspring Yes but won't stablecoins always be best for this use case? (Minimal risk of currency fluctuations)

@dampedspring The original value proposition was (and to a degree still is) the ability to transfer value with no intermediary. e.g. Sent a very online friend in Finland some $200 in litecoin to gamble with a couple years ago Software is indistinguishable from magic.

As a new bitcoiner is the bull case? 1. Limited supply results in gains as fiat currency is printed in excess of what is necessary to support the economy (store of value) 2. Use as a medium of exchange for real world transactions 3. Way for emerging market and other unbanked people to hold something besides their local currency It seems to me 1 is true of a lot of things and moves in fads 2. Seems awful for this purpose relative to other forms both fiat and stable. 3, seems literally fully replaced by stable coins. Whats the value proposition?

I basically never update my iPhone software, because I don't like change and generally it never seems to matter. But man, the new iOS is just incredibly ugly. Might as well switch to Android.
