I was just checking in with one of my favorite senior baseball players tonight (he had stitches in his hand a few weeks ago and missed the Mine Performance Academy “Scout Day”), and JJ Vogel informed me that he’ll be visiting the Diamond Bearcats on Saturday.
JJ is a two way player from Edgewood HS. I think he’d be perfect for Bischel Ball. He’s a LHP throwing about 89 mph right now. Coaches describe him as a leader and a clutch player. Coach Hatfield at Edgewood and Midland told me, “no moment is too big for him.”
Travis Clark at Mine Performance Academy told me that JJ is not only an excellent player, he’s also an excellent kid.
He was his league’s “Player of the Year” in high school.
Fun fact: JJ played for the Hamilton team in the Little League College World Series in 2021.
He checks a lot of boxes for me, and I’d love to see him in red and black.
I am honored and blessed to announce my commitment to Spalding University! I want to thank all my coaches who’ve helped me get in this position, my parents for always supporting me and the Spalding baseball staff for giving me this opportunity. Fly high Golden Eagles!🦅🦅
