@ryanpistana Here's a look at the current standings vs the standings without stage points factored in in O'Reilly

Is NASCAR starting to feel like a serious sport again to everyone else or is it just me? (via u/US_Highway54) reddit.com/comments/1skcw… #NASCAR

It could be a good thing for NASCAR’s Clash to return to Daytona.. could see it run to start the week of the Daytona 500.. maybe even race a Monday night prime time slot! #nascar

!!

Justin Allgaier, as announced a few weeks ago, is in for Bowman at Bristol, which is one of Allgaier's best tracks. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Allgaier finishes top-10 and even challenges the leaders. Bowman won a pole there last year. Granted more hp and new tire.

#NASCAR's Brad Moran weighs in on the stage caution conversation ⬇️ ⏱️ "We certainly didn't like how long it took us at Martinsville. We're aware of it for sure, and we'll work with the broadcast partners to try and minimize it the best we can." More → sxm.app.link/NASCARIntervie…

.@FS1 got 2.394 million viewers for Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series @CookOut 400 @MartinsvilleSwy, roughly flat to the downside from 2.422 million last year.

.@dennyhamlin on Actions Detrimental calls for changes to caution length: "We're running too long under caution. We have to find a way to shorten them up, but we won't shorten them up as long as we're doing what we're doing in the sense of 'TV has to catch the pit stops live.' OK, well then you've got to shorten your commercials or something. ... (O'Reilly) especially, I'm telling you my experience as a watcher: It was a single-car wreck, there's not debris on the track, there's no clean-up to be had, and it's just yellow...yellow...yellow. I'm like 'CHOOSE ALREADY!'" He acknowledged TV needs commercials during the cautions to run a business, but "to me, it's hurting the watching experience."

19 caution laps between stage end and green flag in Martinsville. 😦 Is it time to consider a change?

@jeff_gluck @dennyhamlin He's right. It's also chewing into the next stage and shortening up those parts of the race: taking product off the shelf.

In time with media today, Darrell Waltrip said he’s not sure if he likes the way races are run in NASCAR today, but he still watches. “I think the sport’s gone through a transition since the days that I raced. You dropped the green flag and you ran to the checkered. Now they got all these different stages… “I’m not sure I like it the way it is. But, I watch.” Full interview scrum below: #NASCAR
