@peterrhague It's a mix of reckless driving and disorderly conduct so whatever the penalty for those are is good.

@AndrewMayne Two hydrogens one oxygen H20. So what, you know a random thing, it doesn't mean other folks shouldn't have a say in a different thing.

A person posting opposition to data centers on social media probably lines up one-to-one with the likelihood they would sign a petition to ban dihydrogen monoxide.

U.S. data centers require: 30x less water than U.S. golf courses. 100x less than California almonds. 200x less than U.S. home lawns. 2,500x less than U.S. crop irrigation. Who is protesting almonds? Golf courses? Lawns? Nobody. China does not feel threatened by your lawn.

Stephen A. Smith was HEART-BROKEN after his daughter Samantha told him that she won’t let him live in her house when he’s older & she plans to put him in a Nursing Home instead 😭💔 “In my house?? With my kids? And my car? And my husband & my pool? In my guest room?” “I’m just your Dad. The one that made it all possible.” “I would love you from a distance Dad. You know I love you from a distance.” 🤣

@omgsidewalks Sorry GenX won't buy it. We don't really care about our jobs but we damn sure hate communist propaganda more than the boomers.

Once the boomers are out of the workforce, can we finally make the 4-day workweek and 3-day weekend the standard?

The middle class isn't asking to be rich. They're asking for the same deal their parents had. One full-time job. A modest home. A reliable car. Enough left over to save. That used to be called normal. Now it's called privileged.

Hot take. Humanity should shut the fuck down for a few months every year, just like we did during COVID. Give the planet a chance to recover without us constantly polluting, burning, and consuming everything in sight. Don’t we want a future where we can actually breathe the air?

@tracegallagher Maybe if they show the receipt for the never ending pasta meal to vote that's better than the current system.

NIGHTCAP QUESTION: Olive Garden's new Never-Ending Pasta Pass gives customers unlimited meals as long as you show a valid photo ID. So if you have to show your ID to eat pasta, should you have to show it to vote? What do you think?

@SaveStandard Children love DST. Ask any child if they'd like extra outside time after school. Plus death rates skyrocket during standard time compared to DST. We need the sun!

@kyleraccio Here's a better poll that reflects what people actually want. Even morning folks are split 50/50 on the issue.

We're a big country. Florida and your lobbyist friends don't get to speak for the entire country. Many Americans, who Gallup poll shows support STANDARD TIME, will not sit idly by as you compromise our health to appease special interest groups.
Rep. Vern Buchanan@VernBuchanan

Americans are ready to lock the clock, and the House acted with broad bipartisan support to pass my Sunshine Protection Act. The Senate now must send this commonsense legislation to the president's desk. Read my op-ed in the @HeraldTribune: heraldtribune.com/story/opinion/…

@nap__violator We can do it! DST during winter is the answer to getting more daylight it takes absurd mental gymnastics to think otherwise.

“We need an ‘extra’ hour of sunlight in the winter” “We need to end seasonal depression” Winter is winter. There is less sunlight. The earth during this time is at a position in relation to the sun where it’s cold and we get less daylight. Yes, there are some downsides that can suck. Us mere men have zero control over that, we aren’t going to solve these problems by shifting the clock artificially late in the winter. There is a deeper issue of hubris to think that we can.

@operadirector The people complaining always resort to some complaint about the unattended kids they are leaving out to fend for themselves or some other scientician propaganda. It's time for the sun and for folks to look after their kids!

Do all the people complaining about the so called horrors of daylight savings not realize that we are in DST about 65% of the year and in "standard" time about 35%?

@RogerSeheult The DST model of light better fits with the day light definition of 730 am to 830 pm and night light definition of 1230 am to 6 am in the study. Staying up all night is bad for you duh

DST: dark mornings in favor of brighter evenings. I wonder if this phenomenon has been studied? “Brighter nights and darker days predict higher mortality risk: A prospective analysis of personal light exposure in >88,000 individuals” Oops. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39405349/
