If you have to create exposition to demonstrate the supposed power of the villain... It feels like maybe the villain isn't that impressive. However.... I will be watching this movie. @MarvelStudios is a bit like a drug....

OH MY GOSH! Traveled to Tombstone, Arizona, to shake hands & get out the vote. Rural voters matter — your voices matter. Proud to visit this enchanting town. Nice to meet you, @TSummers24244.

Can you imagine the bloat after even just one 🦕 rib? I'd have to watch days of football before I could manage to do anything. 😂

I am struggling to find the right words. I woke up this morning thinking it would be another busy but normal day. Our six-month-old baby, Charlotte, had an appointment with an eye doctor to find out why her eyes were crossed. We scheduled this appointment two months ago and didn’t expect anything serious. I went to the appointment with all three of my daughters. After examining Charlotte’s eyes, the doctor noticed something unusual and sent us to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City for an eye ultrasound to check more closely. I drove the half hour to the hospital, and Stuart left work early to meet me there. He arrived just as the ultrasound was happening. I held Charlotte close while facing away from the screen so the doctor could get clear images. Stuart was looking at the screen and suddenly said, “Whoa, that’s big.” In that moment, my heart sank. The doctors found a cancerous tumor behind her left eye and partly in her right eye. It is called retinoblastoma, and it is the reason her eyes will not straighten. I didn’t know how to react. So many thoughts, fears, and emotions rushed through me all at once. I am still trying to understand it. I am still in shock and unsure how to think or what to do. The doctors told us Charlotte needs an MRI to confirm the diagnosis and to see how much the cancer has spread, if it has spread at all. They talked about treatment options, including chemotherapy and surgery. They also explained that the specialist team for this condition is in Phoenix, and we need to get there as soon as possible to start treatment. Right now, everything feels overwhelming. I don’t yet understand what the future looks like for Charlotte, for Stuart, for our family, or for myself. But I do know the most important thing I can ask from anyone reading this is to please pray for us. Please send a sincere prayer to our Father in Heaven and ask Him to make everything okay, whatever that may look like. I believe prayer is real, prayer is powerful, and prayer will help carry our family through this. Please pray for baby Charlotte.

I've observed that on average we START the lesson approximately 10 minutes into the block. Between prayers, announcements, passing along the missionary meals, and introducing visitors it just seems to me that we're going to have a tough time getting depth of any sort.

No one tells you how obnoxious it is to go viral... The notifications and ridiculous comments... Not to mention the "let down" when that moment begins to wane.

There's several where overlap exists but for the most part I don't feel any need to argue with these takes. The Mary thing in particular feels like it has the most potential for the LDS perspective to fall short. There's more to Mary than we know... And I feel that in my soul. The fact that you hold all of those closely explains a lot.

What I believe: 1. The LDS are right about temples. 2. Catholics and the EO are right about the Real Presence in the Eucharist. 3. Catholics and the EO are right about confession. 4. The LDS are right that charismatic gifts still belong to ordinary members. 5. The LDS are right that priesthood blessings and real spiritual power are given to the members, not reserved for a clerical class. 6. The LDS are probably right about some form of premortal existence. 7. On the Trinity, probably no one has it 100% right and it's an ineffable mystery. Jesus clearly did not think the metaphysics mattered enough to spell out. 8. The EO are right that papal supremacy is an error. 9. The LDS are right to make missionary service the rite of passage into adulthood. 10. The EO are right to refuse innovation and to never submit to modernity. 11. The EO are right about fasting as a normal discipline, not a relic. 12. The EO are right that the atonement heals rather than merely acquits. 13. Catholics are right about Mary. 14. Catholics are right that the Church needs one voice in some form. 15. The LDS are right about eternal marriage and the family lasting beyond the grave. 16. The LDS are right about continuing revelation and an open canon. 17. The LDS are right about a lay clergy that works for free. 18. The EO are right that liturgy should feel like heaven, not a concert. 19. Protestants are right that ordinary people should know their Bibles cold. 20. The LDS are right that the dead are not beyond the gospel. Peter said Christ preached to the spirits in prison, and someone ought to take him at his word.

So... Someone mentioned the World Cup in Church today. I was gonna say something pithy like "What's that a giant cup the everyone is supposed to share?" Then I thought better and decided to ask who won... And why should I care? 😁
