"In the Spotlight" The guest of this interview is a person that I have been following since he had only a few hundred followers on youtube and today I had the honor to interview him! Ladies and gentleman, @bigpey !!! Hope you enjoy it! 📖👇 How do you explain to your grandmother what you do ? I would tell her that I started working in this industry by running servers that process financial transactions for thousands of people. While I was running these servers I would make educational videos to make cryptocurrency easier to understand. Now I run a software company building Atrium, with a goal of onboarding millions into this industry by making Cardano easy. Can you tell us a secret about yourself ? I got into cryptocurrency due to videos games. They taught me how to build computers, servers, and how to use software/social media. Without video games, I wouldn’t work in this industry. My grandma used to tell me I was wasting my time with all of the video games! What makes you get out of bed in the morning ? A double shot of espresso, and an intrinsic motivation to keep improving in my personal life and my career. What is the achievement that you are most proud of ? I’m most proud of educating my local community about cryptocurrency at a time that led to them making enough capital to improve their lives. A lot of people tell people to learn about crypto when it’s overbought, and it leads to them never coming back if they overinvest. We also recently launched two smart-contracts within Atrium. Once we open-source both of these smart-contracts that will be my biggest achievement. It’s been a dream of mine for years to open-source smart-contracts that push the industry forward. What hobbies do you have besides crypto ? I love nature, mountains, hiking, and playing the occasional video game. I’ve had a lot of fun with Escape from Tarkov recently. I also love traveling. I mostly travel for work, but always take some time to explore each city. What is your favorite food and drink ? My favorite drink is coffee, and my favorite food is a prime ribeye from a local butcher reserve. What is Atrium? How do you explain it to a person new to crypto ? Atrium is a platform that aggregates what most people do in Crypto into one app that teaches you how to use it with easy motion graphic videos. Our goal with Atrium is to make Cardano easy. Why did you choose to build on Cardano ? I’ve chosen to build on Cardano for various reasons. Cardano has a solid technical foundation for building smart-contracts. When I work with smart-contract developers, the consensus is that smart-contracts on Cardano are actually more secure than EVM based contracts if written correctly. Cardano is also often criticized without substance. People don’t realize how large the community is, and how strong the culture is around the chain. Project Catalyst is also huge for builders. It allows you to raise funds to push the ecosystem forward, and you don’t have to rely on VCs to ship products. This allows you to build products for the people, instead of early investors. What was the most successful investment that you ever made ? I dropped out of college in 2020 after the covid crash when ADA was around 3 cents. I realized that Cryptocurrency was the future, and if I spent the time learning, educating and building I could provide a lot of value for people. It was a huge risk that I took as I had a full scholarship and was more than half way to finishing my Computer Science degree at a good school. However this risk paid off, and the most valuable thing I’ve earned from taking this risk is the network of amazing people in the Cardano community. If there’s something I don’t understand, or I need help, there’s always someone great I can call. What is the most important lesson that you ever received ? The most important lesson that I have learned is that most people can achieve great things if they put their mind to it and work at it every day. Growing up I was one of the kids that we’re told they weren’t going to amount to anything in school. When you’re young you believe what people tell you. I have personally seen people do incredible things in the past few years, and half of the time it was a few people with computers and years of determination. People often talk about investing over a long period of time, and that time in market is the most important thing. You can take this frame of thinking and apply it to personal growth, or a large goal that you’re going to accomplish. It all compounds if you keep at it.

Before getting involved with Snek, I worked in the innovation and energy sectors. I’ve always loved to build teams and cool tech. What is the thing that makes you get out of bed in the morning ? A good flat white coffee. How did you find out about crypto ? I've been following it since 2015 and finally decided to take the plunge in March 2017. What determined you to start building on Cardano ? There was a clear gap in the Cardano memecoin market that was brimming with opportunity, and I knew exactly how to make it successful. What hobbies do you have when you are not on crypto twitter? Sports, friends and family. I think it's crucial for your mental strength and decision making to keep a balance between work, health and your social life. Ultimately, meaningful relationships and the people around you are what truly matter. I enjoy listening to podcasts, with my favourites being All-In, Joe Rogan, and Lex Fridman. What is your favourite food ? I could eat Italian food anytime without hesitation. What is your biggest dream ? Live a happy, long life, and achieve financial independence. I'm fortunate to feel fulfilled both personally and professionally. I do what I love with people I enjoy. On a deeper level, I aspire to contribute to something meaningful on this earth and leave my mark in some way. What kind of advice would you give to the new people that are just discovering crypto for the first time ? Join a few discords and interact with communities. People will gladly help you navigate and you’ll learn a lot faster. I also recommend following large crypto Youtube channels like AltcoinDaily and CoinBureau.

@elonmusk Voting should be done on the blockchain. Cardano is a good solution for that. @IOHK_Charles is the right person to establish such a system.

We should eliminate electronic voting machines. The risk of being hacked by humans or AI, while small, is still too high.

Those bottoming tails look damn interesting on the weekly $ADA chart. If we get a similar move like the one in February, we should get at least 80% to the upside.

2 years ago if CNFT project was just mentioning that they might create a p2e game with those nfts people would just lose their minds and mint tens of nfts. Today if a project doesn't have it's own coin, staking, p2e game and a DeFi app nobody care about it. We are evolving.

It's going to be EPIC! If Cardano DeFi and other CNT's are mooning in the bear market, just imagine what will happen in the bull market. We could see big market cap coins do 10x in a week and 50x-100x during the whole cycle.

Ethereum has no max supply it is basically infinite. Cardano has a max supply of 45bil $ADA, there will never be more than that. Which one do you choose ?
