The one on one interaction with their classmates and teachers let’s them talk out their points before heading back into the class and discussing their POVs with the entire class

It is a great way to quiz students and see statistics behind their knowledge while making it a fun game for them to compete with their classmates

I believe two that I would use would be wordle and @Kahoot I believe these apps will help engage students by using technology. I’ve seen teachers use Facebook groups, Discord, & more platforms to interact w/ their students electronically since they know how to use them already & are comfortable @Duncannedd #csubedte4200

As you stated, internet access may be hard to get but there are also loaner programs that give out hotspots for students to use (CSUB does this)

Having these be available helps the community learn the basic and necessary tools to navigate technology successfully.

All great things to boost success. Learning a new language can be stressful, as you mentioned, but this app makes it simple for ELs to understand and complete.

I have used duolingo when I lived in a different country and saw how beneficial it was. It is also a fun way of practicing and part of life that might be stressful for those students. #EDTE4200 #CSUBTED @doctor2pi

This is a great tool for long term understanding and as you mentioned integrates ones native language for better understanding. I remember having to use this app for my language class in high school.

They are able to set goals and pass each level of English. Not only does it test you on Engilsh but it also has them use there primary language and translate it to English! @Duncannedd #csubedte4200 #CSUBted

It offers the ability to write in ones native language as well as saying the translation through an automated voice which can help w/ understanding @Duncannedd #EDTE4200

@misssmacauley @doctor2pi @BarnellNicole Hi Shaelyn, I completely agree with you! Remind and class dojo are great apps that connect with students no matter where they are. This is something that is ever more important in today’s world where class is being held online and students are visiting their parents far away.

I think @CanvasLMS and @googledrive are great ways of staying in touch with students in the classroom as they both have a means of communication. They are both great in offering a home for classes as well since the lessons and modules can be easily accessed.
