Janiece Sikander netted 21 points and 5 rebounds and the No. 1 Pleasant Grove Vikings downed No. 3 West 45-30 Friday at The Huntsman Center in the 5A state championship game. Kylee Falatea's 14 points and 7 rebounds led the Panthers in defeat. This is the Vikings' first championship in girls basketball in school history.

Abby Christensen led the Silverwolves in the loss with 14 points. The Vikings next face No. 3 West Friday at 1:00 pm for the 5A state championship at The Huntsman Center.

@BYUSportsNation Every game is the toughest! If you come unprepared and unfocused you can lose to any program at anytime. BYU has lost games to teams they should not lose to in the past. It happens to every program as well. In the BIG 12 no game is easy. The biggest opponent is yourself!
