Good morning, this is why we should all be obedient to our parents no matter our age. However, as parents we sometimes only focus on the first part of the scripture and honestly I only was taught the first part haha until I started reading the bible for myself. I saw something with @DezBryant that made me check myself and felt I had failed at being a father. @DezBryant , said he read something where it said don’t yell at your child before bed and expect them to get a good night rest, don’t yell at your child before school and expect them to do well. I needed to hear that and if this does happen finish the scolding with love and reassurance we’re family. I’m not telling anyone how to raise their child because I need more help than anyone. I’m amazed at how this book can help us in ALL walks of life. EPHESIANS6:1-4

Good afternoon, I can admit I’m guilty of this but more about myself. There would be times I felt the receivers didn’t play or practice well because I wasn’t praying or fasting how I should. When I first got to Baylor if someone missed an appointment or was late I didn’t see the opportunity to teach but that God allowed that to happen because I wasn’t devoting enough time to God. Once I read this scripture in 2024 it was made clear that God is better to us than we deserve and when situations come in your life that are difficult that God is actually giving us an opportunity for a great testimony and not a punishment. I think of those who suffer with lung disease and told they’ll die in 3 years but live for 10 years and receive a double lung transplant. I had a rough evening and night thinking about one of my GOONS but when I woke this morning this scripture gave me strength.
