You just need to catch yourself when your head drifts and steer it back to what the training demands right now. Do that enough times and it stops taking substantial effort and starts to be a habit.

they're the ones who notice it's gone and bring it back before the next rep that matters. You get maybe 60 to 90 mins a day to train. So the moments that actually move you forward are a small fraction of that. You don't need to be a monk on the track or the gym floor.

One of the greatest skills as an athlete is being fully present for the task at hand. Your mind is going to wander during a workout as that's just how brains work. But the best athletes aren't the ones who never lose focus..

I have a marathon coming up this Sunday and I don’t think it’s fully sunk in for my brain that I have a marathon coming up this Sunday

Runners I'm curious whats your WHY? As in whats the reason you got into running and what keeps you going? Many are deep into a spring marathon or Boston Build, so it helps to come back to this question when training gets tough! Would love to hear what gets you out the door.

Remember, being ready isn't a feeling. It's a decision. Save or share with a runner who needs to hear this <3

For those running a marathon this month, at some point you may have crippling doubts. The night before. At the start line. At mile 18. When your brain screams "what if everything goes terribly wrong?" Change the question: "What if everything goes extremely right?"

5. marathon success is delayed. From research, the 8 months of training before your 4 month block is a greater determinant of success 6. you can't out train underfueling. I got 7 stress fractures and lost 2 yrs. Fuel like crazy or spend more time injured than running

3. training solo is better than training with any run club that turns every easy day into a tempo workout 4. consistency beats flashy workouts every time. B/B- efforts for 100 days destroys A+ efforts for 30

A few uncomfortable truths learned from 19 years of running: 1. most runners quit from doing too much intensity too soon. Not because they lack talent 2. easy running = the bedrock. Everything else is just icing. Most people would improve faster if they simply ran 60 mins/day

Mentorship isn’t about answers. It’s about finding clarity. Why? Because nobody changed their life reading “10 quick tips.” growth comes honest reflection and actions made that you didn’t think you could make

if that stuff worked, you wouldn’t be reading this. You need: Someone who will spot your blind spots and call you on them. • A system that maximizes your natural strengths. • Accountability to destroy limiting beliefs and show you what you’re really capable of.

What Most Athletes Actually Need From A Coach Isn’t What You Think You don’t need: • Another “work harder” speech. • A copy-paste framework that “worked for someone else.” • An endless checklist to “fix yourself.” Because let’s face it;

I’m chasing a sub-2:13 marathon and the 2028 Olympics. To get there, @blonyx is my go-to for fueling—it’s simple, research-backed, and helps me stay consistent. But my focus isn’t just on me. It’s about giving back and teaching the community that shaped me.

The biggest blessing and a curse growing up: was being labeled “the running kid.” Now, chasing a sub-2:13/12 marathon in 2025 and maybe hope to chip away until the 2028 Olympics, I’ve learned running is about more than results. Here’s my story I shared recently with @Blonyx
