“How about we schedule the 4 games on hour intervals at 6, 7, 8, and 9? That way someone could watch some of every game and doesn’t have to pick which of the two to watch at a time and they won’t end close together.”

It's always a good idea for the coach to have a goal with every interaction they have with their players. Whatever Pitino wants from his player, do you think this is the **best** way to get him to change the way he's playing?

@mar5hallhoops I see this a lot too! However, it seems to come from “small fish big pond” more than anything. I wish more kids would pick schools they can actually play at than just the “good basketball school”.

I’m amazed at the many kids I see year in and year out that don’t play on their HS team that can play. As coaches we have to do a better job developing. I know most aren’t capable but at least try.

My sophomore year, my coach - the great Norm Persin - told 15 year old me I “couldn’t guard a fucking snowman with no arms” in the middle of a game and broke his marker he was bashing it so hard on the clipboard as he screamed it into my face. I went on to be a 2x top 100 underclassmen showcase invitee, 2x all state, district player of the year, etc. after that moment. Yeah, I think kids could probably use a little more of this kind of coaching.

I never yell at a ref! But I will tell my HC how bad the ref is while the ref is in ear shot. “Damn coach, that ref sucks!”. 😂

Frank Haith, an Assistant on Texas A&M staff, was issued a Technical Foul during the last TV Timeout in OKC. Roger Ayers whacked him. I’ve said on here many times… Head Coach can talk to the officials and argue. Don’t want to hear anything, much less arguing, from an assistant.
