@chriscfore Isn’t the equity issue the problem? Some sections rank schools after regular season, bad teams from high leagues are then dropped to lower divisions for the playoffs, matching up against much smaller schools.

Tonight in a So Cal Regional Championship Game, 1 team who went 0-10 during regular season plays a team who went 1-9. Both went 4-0 in playoffs. I propose a "fix" by saying no playoffs in CA unless you are at least .500 during the season. If brackets aren't filled, so be it.

@chriscfore I think it boils down to rule changes that made it fade out. Some teams still run it, but it becomes and issue quickly when both teams don't, and the rules favor the spread now. So wing t team gets down <10 and they just can't recover.

The wing t is THE best offensive system for high school football because if the outstanding versatility that it gives. If Reggie Bush and Alex Smith, 2 future NFLers could both be on the same high school team using it, it ain't bad for YOUR kids!

@chriscfore Alex Smith‘s only offer was to Utah & he only got that because his uncle was on the staff. W/out that connection, Smith very likely would’ve had to go the JC route to have any shot at an NFL career. That offense is about coaches winning games, not advancing kids’ futures.
