Polk State Athletics is hosting the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony. I sincerely hope you will consider joining us as we celebrate our first Hall of Fame class in 13 years and induct Bing Tyus, Phoebe Wu, Lance Jeter, Stephanie Koutsoumbaris and the 1992 baseball team.

Leadership is the leading of the organization/company but also working beside and letting those who know more to lead. Great leaders also must be great followers/supporters.

Smart organizations hire good coaches and stand by them. Michael Malone, nine years in Denver. Mark Daigneault, four years in OKC. Same for Chris Finch in Minnesota. Jason Kidd three years in Dallas and just got an extension. Bad organizations scapegoat them.

Jamal Murray is one of the most unique players in NBA history. Zero All Star appearances, zero All NBA teams, no regular season accolades at all. Yet, only MJ, Wilt & AI have more 50 point playoff games, he’s got 1 iconic playoff run under his belt, 2 other awesome ones & now this year, with a true walk off buzzer beater and another near buzzer beater & 32 points on one leg. Legendary.
