Most families are chasing offers without understanding the business behind them. Roster spots. Scholarship limits. Admissions. NIL. The portal. Etc. If you don’t understand the game off the field, you’ll lose on it. Talent gets you noticed. Being strategic gets you on a roster.

Q: What should I expect at the Georgia Southern Eagles football spring game as a prospect? A: It’s more about evaluation than recruitment. Coaches are watching how you look, move, and carry yourself. Interaction will likely be limited, and the day will flow through check-in, facilities, the game, and brief conversations.

Recruiting hack: wear your tallest shoes on your visit. Yes I know they make you take them off for the official height. I’m a former college coach and NFL scout. I know how it works. But the rest of the visit is the eye test. How you look. How you feel. How you stack up walking next to other recruits. Perception matters.
