The Astros don’t hang division title banners prominently in the ballpark. There are small ones outside the ballpark and on the wall in the upper deck for that, and they’re put up with no ceremony. Congrats on your first win of any kind in 25 years, though.

@bigangrylaw …also Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles area had gang issues. Rap concert no longer at Six Flags park due to fights in the late 90’s in LA.

Apparently the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo decided to unblock the pedestrian bridge and reopen Astroworld last night. This just brings back memories (of why we lost our city’s greatest tourist attraction and cannot have anything nice that is also fun and affordable in Houston).

@bigangrylaw Six Flags has Chaperone policies at all parks. It was not an Astroworld thing it’s a youth thing. Not inner city or suburbs issue because some parks are in smaller communities adjacent to large metroplexes.

@coasterron I get that is the official story and if you want to pretend that the constant fighting and problems did not impact that decision-making process you certainly can but we both know that security was a massive issue for its last few years.

@bigangrylaw When Astroworld closed in 2005 it was one of the top 10 in attendance and revenue for the 28 Six Flags parks at the time. Number 6 in revenue, Don’t blame Astroworld for youths behaving badly. Fighting occurred outside the park especially during Fright Fest/Night.

@SixFlags When I worked at Six Flags from 1983 to 2005 the Rides department was graded on D.O.R. and R.P.G. 80% capacity was ok in Time Motion Studies but that was the minimum. Rides department was not a revenue generating department. Rides were graded by total ridership.

@SixFlags I remember when Six Flags cared about maximizing total riders, fast loading, multiple trains and downtime. Now I see trains stacked in stations to artificially increase wait times to promote Fast passes.

@gotrice2024 The liability is on the restaurant for accuracy, quality and safety. Imagine if he prepared a regular Pepsi instead of diet/zero it could have significant consequences.

A Door Dasher arrives to pick up an order for delivery, door dash orders need to be sealer at the restaurant as well as their drinks. The Taco Bell worker didn’t seem to want to do it nor did she understand why it needs to be done. The manager had to step in and intervene. Usually the drinks are self serve but with a food delivery, the customer can’t serve themselves because they aren’t there. Should the delivery driver have just made the drink himself or was the Taco Bell manager lying when he said they usually don’t make them?
