Decenas de niños pequeños, muchos apenas de 2 años, fueron encontrados tendidos sin vida en el suelo como muñecos desechados en la guardería Little Aresha en Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Sus manos y pies estaban atados. Algunos estaban completamente desnudos o solo con pañales. Sin camas, sin consuelo, solo esteras de espuma fría. Los niños estaban tan drogados o destrozados que muchos apenas podían moverse o llorar. Los padres dejaban a sus bebés pensando que serían cuidados mientras trabajaban. En cambio, fueron sistemáticamente descuidados, restringidos y maltratados día tras día. De 103 niños en el centro, la policía ha confirmado al menos 53 víctimas. Un video filtrado motivó una redada, que llevó al cierre de la instalación. Hasta ahora, se han nombrado 13 sospechosos, incluyendo la cabeza de la fundación, la directora y múltiples cuidadores. - El personal ataba a los niños pequeños para que no los “molestaran” - Desnudándolos - Dejándolos tendidos en el suelo durante horas Los niños ahora están recibiendo ayuda médica y psicológica, pero el daño es irreversible.
