Which brings me to possibly wonder if both audiences and the team at EE put more focus on Xmas, New Years and Anniversary shows than needed? Some of their best episodes and stories don't coincide with any of these calendar markers...

To think on New Years Day, I said I'm not watching EastEnders until 31 Dec 2026 after thinking the Xmas and flashforward episodes in 2025 were... not for me, even though I admire and respect daily the hard work the team put in. I came home from Milano just after 7:30pm yesterday, headed to the living room, and it's on the TV. I have to say, @aaronthiara (Ravi), @sophiekhanlevy (Priya), Juhaim Rasul Choudhury (Nugget), Diane Parish (Denise), @ronniancona (Bea), Sam Denia (Daniel the pharmacist), @kittycastledine (Penny) and @jalotashiv (Davinder) smashed their performances. Great direction and scriptwriting on yesterday's episode. I might start watching EE regularly again...

Akinola Davies Jr. invited me and a few others to see his and his brother Wale's debut full length movie, "My Father's Shadow" several months before its public release. I was so moved and in tears by the end of the movie. Fully deserved recognition. I think this week is the last time it's at major cinemas in the UK and IE. Tip. 🖤💐
