@budgiemcb Correct but Hibs coming to Fir Park and playing for a point is an embarrassment.

@DavidBryson1985 I think injuries has caught up with us, especially in the attacking areas. International break has came at a good time. We will kick on again after that.

@MotherwellFC Hibs came for a point and got it. We lack a forward to help us break teams down.

We should give Celtic, Hearts and Falkirk the same allocation they give us. Fuck them.

@MichaelcShearer @Record_Sport He's a very good manager has Motherwell playing great football I'd be happy if he got the Celtic job but if it's a choice between him and Keane I'm taking Keane every time

@Record_Sport journalist Michael Gannon says people around Jens Berthel Askou’s orbit believe he is extremely keen on the Celtic job. The Motherwell boss is reportedly on a shortlist alongside Robbie Keane and Craig Bellamy, and would “snap it up in a heartbeat.” celtsarehere.com/celtic-fc-jens…

I’m seeing more and more posts as the season nears a close about Jens Berthel Askou taking over from Martin O'Neill permanently in the summer and, for me, I’m not 100% sold on the idea and here’s why. I have a feeling this could be this year’s version of the hype around Jimmy Thelin. I remember back to Aberdeen’s run of form when fans were all over social media saying he’d be perfect for Celtic then once that form dipped the hype completely disappeared. Now don’t get me wrong have Motherwell played some nice football this season? Absolutely. But let’s keep it real they are only six points ahead of Hibernian and they still have to play Hibs twice. What currently looks like an incredible season for this so-called excellent manager could very quickly fizzle out. Personally I feel Celtic and Rangers being as poor as they’ve been for large parts of the season has put the spotlight on Askou. If both clubs were playing to the standards they should be, in my opinion he probably wouldn’t even be in the conversation. I must add as well that this summer on paper looks like it will require a bigger rebuild than the one under Ange Postecoglou. There are loan players returning, contracts expiring, and players who want away possibly getting their wish. That’s a massive job. If Askou had done what he’s done this season two or three seasons on the bounce in Scotland, then yes absolutely, he should be a contender. But right now it feels like “this year’s Jimmy Thelin” until he proves he can do it consistently. Motherwell will likely lose a few key players in the summer, so I’d be far more interested in seeing how he handles replacing that talent and going again next season. Does he sustain it, or does it fall flat? I want to reiterate that I’m not saying he’s a bad manager far from it. I just feel people are being very reactionary because of how poor Celtic have been at times this season while Motherwell are sitting fourth. And let’s not forget, Celtic have beaten them two out of three times this season so far. For me, the next Celtic manager has to be someone with bags of experience, but also someone who plays fast, attacking football that suits the Celtic way. 🍀

@cochap Every goal in the game including ours has came from errors. I think we played very well until the sending off and penalty. Unsure why Celtic didn’t go down to ten though with Chamberlains foul before half time, could have been a different story.

Departure confirmed. What Stephen Robinson achieved with this club should never be understated. After a sticky start, he built a team that were very, very hard to beat, particularly at home. Bringing our first top 6 finish in the new Premiership era. Then did it again. And again. Claimed multiple Old Firm scalps, and certain grounds where we previously struggled to win, suddenly became happy hunting grounds. He brought back European football to Paisley, and those nights against Valur and Brann will never be forgotten. The SMISA became a place where teams rarely walked away without a battle, and crowds were booming. But for me, and perhaps most significantly, he gave us a football club who on their day could compete with the very best in the country. He instilled a belief and a determination in his squad that many of us had never seen before in the black and white of St Mirren Football Club. He gave us a team, and a community that we could be proud of… With all that said, I hope we fucking pump Aberdeen every time we play them. So the question now is, who next?
