Whenever the expression "a fool at 40" is made, it is almost always directed at a man.
This is because, men are expected to earn wisdom as they age so persistent foolishness past a certain age, is considered a failure.
For women howerver, such expectations do not exist because foolishness is the default state. Which is to say, it is foolishness from the cradle to the grave unless there's a *COMPETENT* masculine figure to curb it.
And this is why when a married woman exhibits extreme stupidity, attention is often directed at the masculine figure that is supposed to have her on a leash:

This is also the reason a lot of women’s mental models are stupid asf and should not be accorded any respect.
They haven’t suffered nearly enough. Women in their prime years are insulated from the consequences of their foolish ideas through male abundance and benevolence that incentivizes it in pursuit of sex.
In addition, they are incredibly pain-averse (and therefore truth-averse) and so will consciously and unconsciously avoid any conclusion that forces them to confront their personal failures and introspect.
When you combine this with friends and family who continually affirm their delusions due to a hesitance to hold them personally accountable so as not to offend them, you realize that nature’s feedback loop/corrective mechanism for bullshit ideas is completely broken.

The reason I’m so confident in making some assertions on here despite how ugly they sound is that my mental models of reality have been refined through suffering. I was once a naive little boy and therefore I had to suffer. So far you are holding unto false models of reality, you must suffer to correct your defective framework. This is nature’s natural corrective mechanism. Contact with the brutality of the world is how illusion crumbles (if you are a truth-seeker). It is the same thing that happens when corrective lenses are used to try to reset your defective vision. The only way to form correct mental models is to go out there and experience the world and be radically open to have nature test-run your ideas. Does it work? Does it produce results? Is it scalable? Is it grounded in truth? From this point, your suffering becomes information data-point for refinement. But first you must accept and transcend the pain of failure and be ready to introspect. This is the only way you attain wisdom.
