I overheard a conversation today that has refused to leave my head. A mother was talking to her daughter, who is still in junior secondary school. Their cooking gas finished while they were cooking, so the mother gave her money to refill it. Then she said:"Don't tell your father I've already given you the money. When he comes back, tell him the gas just finished so he'll give you money too." I just stood there thinking. The same mother will still tell her daughter not to lie, not to deceive people, and to always be honest. If a child hears one thing and sees something different at home, which one will the child learn? Or are there children who learn more from what their parents say than from what their parents do?
