Why #Apple is on top quadrant? Apple might look not even playing the AI sports, is silently producing best affordable devices for running a local model for personal purpose. If you disagree, try Gemma 4 which released today on a Mac mini and try any alternative, future is clear.

Why #Google is on top quadrant? #Gemma has become the best in class Open models that I've been running for months on my pc. Google made it to #1, from producing totally useless to, the best open models in less than a year. Previously Meta had this spot, followed by Alibaba.

@AiPa1442 @blind_via I design PCBs as hobby, mostly learn from experts here. Sure soon AI will design better than me, but as I learn, I realise it’s more art than just connecting & packing components. Same is true for software design. AI solves 75% of work but rest 25% is where the art goes

@blind_via I think it is solved already... Modern toolset can design and optimize multilayer pcbs from scratch.

Said this before and will say it again. There are not enough PCB designers. The most experienced are ready to retire, and there is little bridge to that world for the new interested in learning. Serving as a bridge might be my true calling. PCB design must be passed on

@zain_kh_ Valetudo works on top of the manufacturers firmware to replace the cloud features of the manufacturer. My stack tries to replace the firmware part and makes it more hackable

@codetiger Nice That's exciting to hear. How does that fit in with other initiatives like Valetudo and CleanIt ? I'm only semi technical so I don't fully understand the nuances but this does make me hopeful

@zain_kh_ My plan is to directly support Valetudo for the end user UI and interactions. What am building is an entire SLAM firmware stack, everything that Valetudo does not replace on the commercial vacuum cleaner models that it supports.

@AltMenM Hi, to start with, use Wi-Fi segmentation. Create separate Wi-Fi ssid for iot devices. Then some routers have options to monitor and block IPs that device is connecting to. I shall write more info in my next article
