Started the @awscloud club in my college in my second year, now it’s thriving because of juniors. Amazing to see how many people are easily learning AWS and growing through certifications in college.

I use @letterboxd almost every day. Reading reviews, writing them, logging films, changing the dates later because I forgot to log it on time, I just love everything about it. But I'm also a CS student who can't stop looking at the engineering behind things. So naturally I've spent time figuring out the stack, JVM backend, AWS, Cloudflare at the edge, React on the frontend. I even caught the NGINX layer from how errors show up. I've used TMDB myself for a project so I know that pipeline too. And as someone who uses it this much, I notice when things break. The outages during big film moments, pages that just die under load, reviews lost when the site goes down. These are the exact problems I want to work on. I'm Faizan a sophomore CS student from India,and someone who builds with AWS, Docker, Backend systems daily. Working as a DevOps/SRE Intern at @letterboxd would be dream come true. If anyone from the team sees this, I'd love a referral or even just a chat. 🎬🙏

I keep taking breaks from social media. Recently, I did it again, I’ve been off for over a week, with no Instagram or Twitter, which were my main sources of distraction and consumed most of my time through passive scrolling. I’ve started to realize that my mental health improves without it. It made me see that social media is just a way to fill certain voids. For me, that void is the lack of close human connections and friends. Although I do feel lonely without social media, it’s still peaceful. Sometimes I become quite cynical about the world, and don’t you think one should be? These corporations earn money every second you use their platforms, analyzing your likes and dislikes through smartly curated algorithms. I’ve also thought about coding my own anti-capitalistic social media platform, where no one can earn money from users. Decentralized social media does exist, but it still hasn’t been widely adopted. What do you think about this situation?

@codoyevskyy I had this plan before, auth read users via aadhar or sm while keeping ids online confidential. It's in a doc somewhere. Only issue is deployment and marketing
