@eliasnogueira SemVer isn’t really outdated, IMO. It’s just hard to do right and very constraining from a library maintainer’s perspective. Effort-based versioning, similar to what Spring does, tries to balance ease of use for both consumers and maintainers. See jacobtomlinson.dev/effver/

Today I heard from a coworker that SemVer is old and outdated and CalVer should be used because is more modern. What do you think: is SemVer really outdated and has no value anymore?

Had a great evening at the @RotterdamJUG , where I had the opportunity to talk about Stream Gatherers in Java. In addition to the great food, I also enjoyed @VictorRentea's energising session about hexagonal architecture.
