Zuko definitely grew to care about everyone but initially, Aang was the only one who mattered to him. While Sokka and Katara were calling him out, he interrupted them, looked at Aang, and asked “what do you think?” like that was the only opinion he cared about 😭

I wonder how often zuko thought about aang asking if they could’ve been friends in book 1. it must’ve kept him up a few times cause it’s one of the first things he says when he asks to join the gaang

Im gonna say the quiet part out loud… zutara shippers don’t see katara or even zuko as children. Since aang is younger they view him as the child he is, incapable of being sexualized by them unlike katara and zuko.

aang’s emotional maturity is incredibly unmatched actually because how a 12 year old child was able to take the genocide of his entire people & near eradication of his culture on the chin while dealing w survivors guilt & the weight of the world on his shoulders is insane
