@Rainmaker1973 Dolphins, Orca, Whales, Primates, Octopus, Elephants should all be protected species.
If you kill one you're up on murder charges.

Scientists say orcas aren’t just getting smarter: they’re becoming increasingly sophisticated and formidable.
Orcas are proving that their remarkable social intelligence is a key advantage in today’s human-altered oceans.
Far beyond being apex predators, orcas are strategic problem-solvers capable of rapid cultural evolution. Recent observations show pods working together to hunt blue whales, cleverly evading or raiding commercial fishing gear, and even teaching each other how to disable boats. These advanced behaviors aren’t driven by genetic changes, but by an exceptional ability to learn from one another. Through social transmission, pods build and share specialized knowledge, allowing them to quickly adapt to new challenges and pass successful strategies across generations.
This cognitive flexibility is being tested as human activities, from overfishing to climate change, dramatically reshape the marine environment. Researchers believe the rise in innovative behaviors, from scavenging to navigating changing ice patterns in Antarctica, represents a direct response to these pressures.
While there’s no indication that orcas are deliberately targeting humans, their growing ability to innovate and transmit survival tactics demonstrates a level of cultural intelligence that closely parallels our own. As we continue transforming their world, we’re witnessing the rise of a highly adaptable apex mind that is rewriting the rules of the ocean.

@salkuss123 @AMAZlNGNATURE Im not positive but it be related to the genetic changes in animals when they become domesticated. Its happening to raccoons right now as studies have shown a shorter snout and other visual appealing changes to make them more attractive to humans in hope for food I believe.

@AMAZlNGNATURE How come they were in Egyptian writings when they were in Mexico????

This peak in the middle of the Tasman Sea looks like a fantasy novel location and it actually exists. It's called Ball's Pyramid, and it's the world's largest sea stack.
Rising abruptly from the Tasman Sea, Ball’s Pyramid looks almost unreal, but it is very real and genuinely extreme. Located about 12 miles southeast of Lord Howe Island, this jagged volcanic remnant is the world’s tallest sea stack, standing roughly 1,844 feet (562 meters) high while being only about 300 feet wide at its base.
Ball’s Pyramid is the eroded core of an ancient volcano that formed around 7 million years ago. Over time, wind, waves, and weather stripped away the softer rock, leaving behind this sheer, blade-like spine. There is no soil, no freshwater, and virtually no flat surface, which makes it one of the most hostile landforms on Earth.
For decades it was considered unclimbable. The first successful ascent did not happen until 1965, and even today only highly experienced climbers with permits are allowed. Strong currents, frequent storms, and nesting seabirds add to the danger.
Despite its harsh conditions, life persists. In 2001, scientists rediscovered the Lord Howe Island stick insect on the pyramid, a species thought extinct for nearly 80 years.
Only fewer people have stood on Ball’s Pyramid than have walked on the Moon.

Portrait of an unidentified man that was placed over the face and upper torso of his mummy. Dated to 150–170 AD, it is painted in encaustic on a panel of linden wood, and it was originated in Roman Egypt.
This remarkable portrait belongs to a group of artworks known as the Fayum mummy portraits, a tradition that flourished in Roman Egypt between the 1st and 3rd centuries AD. Unlike the stylized depictions of faces seen in earlier Egyptian funerary art, these portraits were painted in a strikingly naturalistic style, giving us lifelike glimpses of people who lived nearly 2,000 years ago.
Painted in encaustic, a technique using hot wax mixed with pigment, the colors remain vivid even after centuries. The medium gave artists the ability to capture depth, texture, and warmth, preserving the humanity of their subjects with astonishing realism. In this particular piece, the curly hair, sharp eyebrows, and direct gaze make the man seem almost alive, as though he could step out of history and into the present.
The portrait was originally placed over the face and chest of the deceased’s mummified body, merging Egyptian burial practices with Roman artistic sensibilities. These works represent more than individual likenesses—they reflect the cultural blending of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian traditions in a society at the crossroads of the ancient Mediterranean world.
What makes the Fayum portraits so moving is the intimacy they provide. Unlike statues of emperors or gods, these images show ordinary people: merchants, soldiers, mothers, and children. Each one is a reminder that behind the ruins and relics of antiquity were lives full of stories, emotions, and identities. This man’s name may be lost to time, but his face survives as one of history’s most hauntingly personal echoes.
