@emanoelmelo @ickbat It makes any edition of any game feel better, it is more fun to do calculus to try to drift race in GURPS. BitD is the worst corporate RPG release of all time. It should be studied for how absolutely wretched it is so people don’t repeat it

@emanoelmelo @ickbat It has bad pacing as a storygame, no tactical depth and an abundance of boring spreadsheet keeping to be offered a statistically insignificant bonus for a disproportionately bad outcome that wastes downtimes in spreadsheets.

Listening to a FitD actual play, and the GM is explaining everything upfront: action rolls, position, effect, stress, etc. As a result, all the worst tendencies of FitD are on display. It's got me thinking: how would you introduce FitD to new players?

@ickbat Just run an early edition of Shadowrun and replace every instance of bullshit cyber technology with “STEAM GHOSTS” or “MAGIC WHALE OIL”

@ickbat Other than commercial success there is no metric it succeeds at, if you want to do a heist play any competently designed TTRPG from the past 40 years and just tack Dishonored + Sunless Sea with the serial numbers filed off on top of it plus some vaguely Victorian streampunk
