We can't possibly say this better than @yminsky has. But we've put some further reading below. Deterministic simulation should be the new standard for testing software, and we're getting it there with Jane Street.
Yaron (Ron) Minsky@yminsky

A new blog post about how we've adopted Antithesis as part of our testing story. This is kind of a new thing for us, because we liked Antithesis (both the people and the product) well enough that we're now leading their next funding round.

@AntithesisHQ amazing but it's kind of funny how the thumbnail looks like an obituary entry

Bugbash speaker spotlight, part the first: Zac Hatfield-Dodds! Zac is a key contributor to Pytest, Hypothesis, CPython, Numpy, and many other key OSS projects. He's one of the deepest, most interesting thinkers about testing – especially property-based testing – today. He'll be talking about why everything is under-tested – we’re wondering that too! Have you got your ticket? Just a handful left at bugbash.antithesis.com

Ever hit a bug in production and wish you could rewind time to capture just a little more information? If you find that bug in Antithesis then we've got you covered: antithesis.com/blog/multivers…

I am super excited to start my own lab @MPI_Muenster! We will study how embryos overcome developmental defects to form functional organs. Looking forward to working together with scientists at the MPI and the broader Münster community.

Puzzle time! If you like brain teasers and card tricks, this one is for you! (pictures show a deck of 10 cards, but the trick works with any number) 1/5

.@antithesishq is top of my list of interesting startups. Deterministic testing of non-deterministic code plus fault injection & smart fuzzing. Maybe the only group I feel good shilling (w/ no affiliation). After 5 years, they've launched publicly today. antithesis.com/blog/is_someth…

My dear father, Candelario Saenz, passed away on November 21st. This is a song my dad taught me when I was a kid. We used to sing the Wreck of the Old 97 together, and we even managed to sing it together one last time before he died: tinyurl.com/yckjjjwc

If you bond with others over how bad things are, you create incentive to maintain badness. If you bond over how cool things could be, you create incentive to improve and learn what else is possible. 🤓👍

This photograph is black and white picture. An artist has drawn some colour lines through it. The human brain is filling the rest of the colours even though they aren't there. zoom in look closely. We tend to fill in using the availability heuristic which is a cognitive bias.

New paper with Chris Yu & Henrik Schumacher: cs.cmu.edu/~kmcrane/Proje… We model 2D & 3D curves while avoiding self-intersection—a natural requirement in graphics, simulation & visualization. Our scheme also does an *amazingly* good job of unknotting highly-tangled curves! [1/n]
