Today the UxC spot #uranium price broke US$100 per pound U3O8 for the first time since February 2024. This is simple recognition that the market has been perennially undersupplied and new production has risk, while demand only accelerates. I would be remiss if i did not highlight that the 2025 PEA on @PremierAUranium's ( $PUR, $PAUIF ) Cebolleta project, New Mexico, indicated that the after-tax Project NAV8% increases >83%, to US$154 million at US$100 per pound, a $10 increase from the US$90/lb base case, reflecting the strong torque this project has to uranium price.

🏛️The White House has released the text of today's Presidential Action: ADJUSTING IMPORTS OF PROCESSED CRITICAL MINERALS AND THEIR DERIVATIVE PRODUCTS INTO THE UNITED STATES📜⛏️🇺🇸 which is the President's response to recommendations from the April 2025 US Commerce Section 232 investigation which includes #Uranium.🕵️ Essentially, the President concurs that "PCMDPs are being imported into the United States in such quantities and under such circumstances as to threaten to impair the national security of the United States."  He orders an initial plan of action: "enter into negotiations with trading partners to adjust the imports of PCMDPs so that such imports will not threaten to impair the national security of the United States.  Depending on the outcome of such negotiations, I may consider alternative remedies in the future, including minimum import prices for specific types of critical minerals."
