We had $6B in fresh crypto funding this week even in such sentiments…. Every dollar of this fresh capital will likely point towards stablecoins, RWAs, AI agent economy, onchain lending, crypto infrastructure. The narrative-speculation cycle that drove 2021 to 2024 produced memecoins, rotating L1 hype, and random AI season where momentum was the thesis. This fresh capital won’t likely chase any new narratives. It will chase things with actual economic utility: assets that settle in real time, credit deployed through code, agents transacting autonomously at machine speed & more. Crypto is not slowing down. The speculation-first chapter is. What is replacing it is a value-driven cycle where use cases have to generate real economic activity to justify the capital. That is a harder environment for narrative tokens with no underlying revenue. It is a significantly better environment for stablecoins, RWAs, and the infrastructure that AI agents will actually route through. The smart money is not betting that crypto survives. It is betting that the next decade of crypto won’t look nothing like the last one.
