The Irish scrum showed up well until the end when the Boks turned on the power.
Narrow defence an issue at times.
Josh van der Flier, Caelan Doris, Tadhg Beirne and Bundee Aki all excellent at the breakdown, which was some scrap.
Plenty for Ireland to take heading into Test 2.

🇳🇿 Ardie Savea turning up for a club game with Oriental-Rongotai RFC yesterday, scored two tries and was then interviewed post-game whilst eating a sausage sandwich. Also left $500 behind the bar for everyone after the game. Humble man. A great character in our sport.

@Murray_Kinsella Law 18.34 and 18.36 relevant here. Lineout is not officially "over" when the ball is thrown, but players can advance (if in the defensive line) or go beyond the 15m line (if in the lineout) once the ball is thrown, provided they return to a legal position if the ball stays in 15m

Leinster and Ulster both asked referee Andrew Brace last weekend about lineouts breaking the 15-metre line to allow backline defence to advance without being offside.
Law states that the lineout ends when the ball or player in possession of the ball goes beyond 15m line.
