@ecenbt @katebattrick Tortoises are not native to the UK. The rescues are given to rescue centres to be rehomed. I have a large garden with an area just for them. They live in a greenhouse with heat lamps and need a specific diet.

@colombfrancesca @katebattrick I have a (perhaps rather stupid) question. Do tortoises need to be kept after a rescue? As in, it feels like they'd adapt easily to an outside life in their natural habitat, but is it a "can't go back to wildlife" situation?

The tortoise is out & about. My dad has had him since he was 10. He’s now 89.
