Most people don’t even know a blue antelope existed. Out of nearly 100 species, nothing matched the bluebuck. Silvery, slate-blue coat, distinct markings, smaller build. Even beside roan and sable, it stood alone. 💙 Let’s bring back the blue.

We’re bringing the bluebuck back from extinction. A literal blue, furry grazer with royal-level horns. Humans wiped it out 200 years ago. Now genomics + IVF will help us bring it back. And the tech build along the way could boost antelope conservation across Africa.

There was a blue antelope… and yeah, you’ve probably never heard of it. 💙 The bluebuck was a real, 400 lb, shimmering-blue mammal that vanished fast. Now we’re bringing it back and building tools to help save antelope still here. This story doesn’t have to end the same way.

The bluebuck is our latest de-extinction project. And yeah, they kinda make the unicorn look basic. The bluebuck (Hippotragus leucophaeus) was a real-life legend from South Africa with a shimmering, slate-blue coat that looks like it belongs in a fantasy novel. (1/7)
