An interesting factoid from the creator side of things: around 20% of my revenue comes from YouTube Premium subscribers. People watching ads is still the bulk of the revenue, but that’s a hefty chunk, ngl

Google’s continuing its obfuscation of how much people are actually signing up for YouTube Music specifically, but tbh getting rid of ads on YouTube on top of your music sub is a pretty sweet deal so I’m not sure the distinction is all that meaningful anyway.

@LordRavenscraft And bullshit like this completely ignores the fact mentally ill individuals are significantly more likely to be the victim of violence rather than the perpetuators.

Mental health systems in this country aren't equipped for business as usual, the idea that Yang wants to just start rounding up people on the street and throwing them in facilities is damaging to people WITH mental illness, and will undoubtedly be used on people without any, too.
