Twitter does not translate Chinese well and it does not auto-translate it ar all. I wish more pepple from Western countries who have Twitter premium accounts would do this work too... translating Chinese people's testimonies on here and articles into their respective languages (Italian, Greek, Spanish, French, German etc). I believe it is critical in getting the word out about the intense suppression, censorship and plight of the Chinese people out into Western countries. I can only do so much alone. Update on Sam the Packer/ Li Meng, man who tortured dozens of to death dog from Chongqing, China and in front of whose home many brave Chinese people protested and demanded he hand over any dogs in his custody. 1. He's still alive and doing well, even traveling, with several police officers protecting him. When his trip ends and he comes back, he starts abusing stray dogs again, and the police are still protecting him outside his home. Now, no one dares to protest anymore. Last time, many protesters were beaten and detained; they lost their jobs and were monitored—a truly severe consequence. 2. He returned to Chongqing after a trip last month, and this month he was filmed abusing dogs again. Three or four police officers are patrolling outside his house to protect him. People used to be able to rescue a dog, but now they can't because they can't get close to him. 3. And he even taught his son to join him in torturing dogs to death... Reporting it doesn't help, because it's not illegal. So.... not only is he firstly somehow not dead, he's not even in jail. He's still torturing, mutilating and killing dogs and live-streaming it WITH CHINESE POLICE STATE PROTECTION OUTSIDE HIS HOUSE. On top of all this he's teaching his son to torture dogs to death as well. The police arrested the protestors and the PROTESTORS lost their jobs. Li Meng is still alive and well. The last dog that was rescued from him, Dong Dong, had its teeth ground to nothing, its tail cut off, and had multiple fractures and internal bleeding from being beaten.
