I’m always surprised by how upset people get over Lizzy saying she wished R!Ciel had survived instead of O!Ciel. As painful as that is for us readers, you also have to understand things from Lizzy’s perspective. She simply wasn’t as close to O!Ciel as she was to R!Ciel. (1\4)

In any other case, he frequently resorts to mahoraga because he doesn't care.

@ShaKing807 My biggest problem is that I'm fine with his potential being squandered, but if it's supposed to be a tragedy, him not giving a shit makes it really hard for me to be invested.

I appreciate a lot of the defenses for Megumi that are essentially "he subverts the strongest sorcerer path" but it's really hard to execute that idea well and even harder to execute that in a series where fighting = characterization so I have gripes with the manga ending for him
