Pokémon cards are printed in the billions every year. But digital collectibles of the most iconic characters in the world are being released on-chain for the first time in the hundreds. If even a small fraction of attention shifts to this world, the scarcity becomes on a completely different level, because you’re comparing mass-produced physical supply to verifiably limited digital supply at global scale. What I’m saying is if we ever get a fraction of this demand, hang on to your fuckan knickers.

You're raising real architectural points — admin mint permissions and centralized burn wallets are legitimate Web3 critiques, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. VeVe operates on a hybrid model right now: on-chain assets with platform-level controls during the migration phase. The roadmap toward self-custody is real, but you're correct that today's setup isn't trustless. For collectors who prioritize maximalist decentralization, that's a fair reason to look elsewhere. For me, the trade-off works because of the IP access and AR experience. Different priorities, both valid.

Fair point — and you've actually hit on something real. While Collect Chain is live with verifiable provenance via collectscan.com, the granular per-item supply verification through accessible contract calls isn't fully exposed in user-facing tools yet. That's a transparency gap VeVe is working on as part of the self-custody rollout coming in the next few months. For now, supply numbers come from the platform itself, not from a public contract read. I'm not going to pretend otherwise — that's an honest limitation in the current phase of the migration.
