Profs of social media classes: ‼️which option do you like for your students? I’m back and forth for the fall and would love to see what others have done! I originally thought on campus clients for ease of production, but I want them to have a nice portfolio at the end 🤔

To everyone who has worked with me at APSU in any capacity, specially all the student staff, I couldn't do what I do without you and be in this position today. I am so excited about this new amazing chapter in my professional career, for the opportunity and what the future holds.

Effective today, I have been promoted to Assistant Vice President of the new Military & Veteran Affairs Division @austinpeay. This type of division is the first of its kind in Higher Education, we are definitely making history.

What's the top trait or skill you want those in leadership positions in your life to have and why? Is it challenging to only select one? #liveitlearnit

Encouragement is value driven & isn't challenging to cultivate. Sinek says, "Invest in relationships. Life is hard. None of us has the strength to do it alone. We need people to encourage & inspire us so we can encourage & inspire others." Your thoughts? #TuesdayTweetswithDrT

@CrisLaferty @diligentpays I do know many organizations that penalize employees at a certain number of accrued PTO hours and won't let them build more before they use some of what they have saved.

@CrisLaferty @diligentpays Agreed. It's interesting how some people purposefully choose not to use their PTO (paid time off). There are numerous reasons for this, however, if it was a requirement this would help. I have never worked for a company that required time off.

@MahoganyV4_ It does show the various dimensions clearly. At the core of working through this is self-care as you've pulled and expressed from the article. Good points and ideas

@HeatherOgg1481 It's alarming to consider the ramifications of unchecked stress and burnout. When people who are past their stress limit begin to experience health issues associated with burnout, they may not even realize the root cause.

@comm4U2day I had no idea burnout can cause physical symptoms of illness or that you can get a medical assessment for it. I thought the early warning system idea to increase resources was great and will be suggesting it to my team. #comm4u2day #liveitlearnit

@comm4U2day So insightful, going forward preventing burnout such as prioritizing self-care, setting realistic expectations, establishing boundaries, and creating a positive work environment should be thought in organizations #comm4u2day #liveitlearnit

@diligentpays Very true. The concept of work/life balance is good to help address burnout yet the reality of finding this balance can be very challenging for many.

@comm4U2day The article captures the reality of workplace of today, where burnouts are excessive. Even with the idea of work-life-balance, burnouts are still very much present. It is necessary to be self-aware and know when to take a break and refuel #comm4u2day #liveitlearnit

@comm4U2day This was an insightful article. I agree that delegation of responsibility is a great way to prevent burnout. The goal is to focus on long-term solutions that will be more effective than temporary relief. #comm4u2day #liveitlearnit

@JesseAkinwande Yes, it's so important to be honest with yourself and others. We must be able to authentically assess where we are and take care of ourselves.

@comm4U2day I worked in a fast paced industry, I’d say one need to find balance within oneself and without, article said you must constantly analyze, reassess your capacity, Yes! never pretend that you have all under control when you are actually losing your mind #comm4u2day #liveitlearnit
