Exciting news. FSR 4.1 is coming to Radeon 7000/6000 series GPUs.
Jack Huynh@jackhuynh

As a lifelong gamer, I spend a lot of time thinking about how to push gaming experiences forward across CPUs, GPUs, software, and games. My team and I have been working hard to evolve @AMD FSR 4 and bring it to more cards. We power over 1 billion gaming devices worldwide. It’s a responsibility we care deeply about. 🎮 This July, RDNA 3 players will experience FSR Upscaling 4.1, delivering sharper visuals and smoother gameplay than ever before. I’m grateful to our fans. Your enthusiasm and ideas inspire us to keep pushing gaming forward. FSR Upscaling 4.1 on RDNA 3 will be ready out of the box for Radeon 7000 Series players in over 300 supported games at launch. And for our RDNA 2 players, we have something exciting coming in early 2027. FSR Upscaling 4.1 will be coming to your cards as well, bringing sharper visuals and smoother gameplay to even more gamers. We cannot wait to show you what is next. Stay tuned 🚀

Good article here on the DirectStorage presentation from GDC 2026. Lots of good info, including Microsoft once again reaffirming that a future version of DirectStorage will utilize P2P (direct SSD -> GPU) transfers via Memory Mapped I/O & Resizable BAR. 4gamer.net/games/033/G003…

MPG AI1600TS PSU just came in from MSI. The highlight of the PSU is GPU Safeguard+ that is designed to prevent the 12V-2X6 connector on your GPU/PSU from melting. Will be testing this feature in the coming days.

Not only that, but completely skipping the raster path on Ampere & newer architectures may not be a significant hit to performance. Here is a comparison of the same scene using raster vs RT-only path. Full frame timings for G-Buffer laydown including scene traversal BVH builds.

@mpr_reviews @phatwayne Another thing to consider is that input resolution is just as important, or maybe even more important. Controllers with TMR sticks will offer higher resolution and smoother/more precise stick inputs, and so those tend to be more expensive.

@mpr_reviews @phatwayne It's that and the Microsoft brand name. They can charge a higher price based solely on that. Better to compare to other 3rd party controllers, where it may lack some features in comparison to those, but still a solid controller.

I need some advice regarding controllers. My Xbox One controller I've been using on my PC is on its way out. I've seen a lot of praise for the 8bitdo controllers, but I need to ask, what is the catch? How are they so cheap? This on is just over $30 USD, has hall effect sticks, wireless, bluetooth, 4.8 star reviews, and 8bitdo here on Twitter gets a lot of praise. For reference, an Xbox Series controller is $100 USD.

@mpr_reviews The price is probably due to lack of features, the fact that it's not as customizable as other controllers, and some build quality issues. But it's a high performance controller with good latency. It's a very good option at that price point.

@compusemble @mygamesir It looks like a really nice controller. This is $120 USD here though, which is a bit more than I'm willing to pay for a controller. The one place that has stock has it for $150 USD, and that's a no. If it was closer to 80-90 USD I'd be getting one.

@mpr_reviews @mygamesir That's funny. I've had this controller for a few months though and it's very good. It may lack some of the features of the new Steam Controller, but it's very precise and has low latency on the sticks.
