@compute25 I don't think it will take that long. A couple of decades at the most. I think it's exactly the success in narrow tasks like maths and science that will make the light bulb go off that this is not a new kind of technology, but the same task-specific AI we've always had.

like programming, math too must go the ai way given how methodical math is, this is the most obvious thing to do sure there are math genius and work great math but the future of math is reviewing proofs, not deriving them, or even deriving proofs with “human assistance”
