Chizzy My uncle in Germany promised my daughter a brand-new iPhone after she finished first in her class. We eagerly looked forward to it for several months. When the phone finally arrived, we spent nearly ₦18,000 to have it transported from Lagos to Imo State through air cargo. My sister also paid about ₦40,000 for transportation from Orlu to the airport to collect it. To our surprise, when we opened the package, it turned out to be an iPhone 6 packaged in a carton. Considering the amount spent on logistics and the expectations that had been built over time, the gift was quite disappointing. Uncle Joe, if you happen to come across this post, this is why we never really knew how to respond or express our appreciation. The issue was not the gift itself, but the gap between what was promised and what was eventually delivered.
